Restaurants

There are many restaurants to hangout in Frisco. I am listing out some..

1> Indian Restaurants:

a> Chettinad Palace:

b> Chennai Cafe :

c> Bawarchi (Andhra style):

d> Masala wok:

2> Thai Food

a> Jasmine

3> Mexican Food

a> FreeBirds:
One of the very common food items available in Mexican food chains is BURRITO, the one which i am holding in my hand in the next photo. Its basically a chapati roll, the stuffing's used are rice, black beans, etc..

b> TacoCabana:

4> Japanese

a> JINBEH

This is a Japanese restaurant, where there are lot of tricks/stunts done by the Chef to attract customers. We had been there to give treat to Anil and Bhavana as they were moving to Charlotte.

The guy with the black outfit is the Chef. He prepares the food on the table in front of us. They have some fire shows to attract the kids. They arrange the onion rings one over the other to form a pyramid structure and pour oil in it and lit it. Once the oil gets over, fumes come out of the pyramid while the chef blows a whistle to mimic the onion to be train. You could get most of the Non veg items (only fried items). We could get noodles and fried rice. They serve white rice also but we have to have with SOYA SAUCE and no curry items.

Important Retail chains in USA

Vishu in USA

Vishu
One of the most prominently celebrated festival of malayali's. Most of the time the Suryamana Ugadi (Tamil New Year) and Vishu falls on same day, this time also was the same case. So i got an opportunity to celebrate both in USA with Prasad and family. We usually celebrate (Tamil New Year) by doing pooja, but malayali's celebrate the Vishu very simple. As soon as they wake up they need to see the flowers, God's photos , light the lamp in pooja room and ask the kids (if any kids are at home) to identify the grains which are been offered to God. Checkout Prasad and Shanthi in the traditional dress.

My first outing with Prasad and Shanthi

Lunch at Chettinad restaurant

I was very excited to go outing with Prasad and family on 31-Mar-2013. It was just like going with my own family. It was around 20 miles from Home. We could get all the Indian food items over there with taste also similar to what we get in India. It was a buffet system over there and the timings of buffet was from 12:30 to 3pm. We had a great lunch over there.

Later we headed to to play tennis in tennis court nearby to home. For the first time i had played tennis. I could easily realize that i was playing the cricket strokes and not tennis. I enjoyed a lot on that day.
